What is a specialised translation?

Orders, contracts, annual reports, presentations, expert articles.

Translations of other languages are based on individual agreement and calculation. Prices of translations are always given for 1 standard page (= 1800 keystrokes including spaces) of the text in the target language. The price is valid for translation done within 3 working days at the earliest. The approximate translation speed is 5 standard pages per day.

In case of urgent translation (within two working days) an additional fee of 50% shall be added. In case of express translation (next working day), an additional fee of 100% shall be added. For larger extent of the translated text, an individual quantity discount is possible!

All translations that we offer can also be proofread by a native speaker under favourable conditions. Like our translators, proof-readers are bound by a promise of secrecy about the information they encounter when working on the texts. Linguistic proofreading of texts by a native speaker is certainly worthwhile where the target groups that come into contact with the translation are also native speakers of the language.

The native speaker not only knows the language perfectly in its idiomatic way (the qualified use of idioms can significantly raise the level of a correct but somewhat boring text), but he/she also knows the cultural specifics. It is always necessary to consider whether the added value of proofreading by a native speaker will return. The texts designated for “the whole world” such as informational and promotional materials, press releases, websites, manuals, menus, annual reports and company magazines deserve to be proofread.

The price of the sworn translation is calculated based on the simple number of pages, unless it exceeds 1800 keystrokes per page. If the clients requires a sworn translation of the document, they must have a notarized copy in advance.

What is a certified translation? (or also a translation with a round stamp, a stamp of a sworn translator, a sworn translation, etc.)

A certified translation consists of a document in the source language and its translation into the target language. The entire document is bound by a red-blue-white ribbon and stamped by a sworn translator.

The birth certificates, marriage certificates, school certificates, diplomas, extracts from the criminal record, extracts from the Commercial Register, powers of attorney, affidavits, notarial records and other documents are translated.

A document physically provided for the certified translation becomes, after the translation, a fixed part of the certified translation file and the file is associated with this document by a notarial way – seal. For the purposes for which it is requested, this file shall be submitted as a whole of the certified translation; the translated document cannot be removed or separated from the file without its invalidation.

Therefore, if you do not want to irrevocably lose the original translated document by submitting the certified translation file to the relevant places (birth certificate, school certificate, marriage certificate, etc.), we recommend that you should obtain a notarized copy before ordering the certified translation, provide it for the translation and keep the original!

An "electronic" sworn translation, for which the client must give his consent to the electronic version, is according to the law made in PDF format and contains the same elements as a translation in a paper form, i.e. the original document, the translation and the translator's clause. The electronic translation is not provided with a round stamp as we are used to in the case of a sworn translations in a paper form, but each copy of the electronic sworn translation is signed with the sworn translator's qualified electronic signature using QSCD tools. Such a translation is further accompanied by an e-signature certificate containing the translator's name, the designation 'translator' and an electronic time stamp.

The validity of the document with the electronic time stamp is 5 years, depending on the validity of the translator's electronic signature. You can have your "electronic" sworn translation converted into a documentary form (or vice versa) at any time (even repeatedly) at a Czech Point branch (Authorised Document Conversion service) for a fee, thus extending its validity. A digitally signed sworn translation in electronic form cannot be supplied with an apostille.
